San Giorgio Nevato – Saint George of the Snows

On the morning of January 3, 2008, starting at about 10am and continuing for several hours, snow came to San Giorgio for the first time this winter and for the first time in the New Year. Safely and warmly indoors, we made almond cookies and gnocchi, and ran out periodically with the camera to snap pictures of the panorama being decorated just beyond our windows.
