I Canyons 2012: Day 1 (We Arrive)

Valley of Fire State Park is the oldest state park in Nevada, barely an hour from Las Vegas. It seems little used and offers, even in May, the possibility of solitude among the red, pink, and orange sandstone. We were tempted to stay longer and try out some of the other trails, but St. George beckoned!
